Public Safety alert ‼️
The Kane County Sheriff and local police reported numerous burglaries to motor vehicles and a motor vehicle theft that occurred from midnight to 430am, t April 4th 2023. Prestbury ( Briargate Circle, vehicle stolen from open garage door, keys in vehicle) . This vehicle was last scanned by a license plate reader in Harvey, Illinois. Village of Sugar Grove, Elburn, Batavia and Geneva also reported the same criminal activity. Police believe a group from the near West side of Chicago is responsible. Video has been obtained. Please remember to lock your car doors, close your garage and report suspicious persons and vehicles immediately to 911. Check your security cameras also. Report if you had anything taken from your car(s) to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office. I will report additional information if available.
