Tree list for the parkways
At the July meeting of the Board of Directors a new list of trees suitable for parkway planting was adopted. The column labeled “city parkway” is the one that’s approved. This list replaces the one that was previously used, which was the same one Sugar Grove uses. The new list, from the Morton Arboretum, is more extensive, offering many for varieties.
Note: if the parkway is less than 5’ in depth, a tree cannot be planted on it. PCA has a parkway tree subsidy of $100.00. If the parkway is too narrow for a tree, application can be made for a subsidy to be used in the front lawn. This must be pre-approved.

Architectural Standards Committee
To ensure that Prestbury remains a safe and aesthetically pleasing place to live, the Prestbury Citizens’ Association has a set of architectural standards for construction of new homes; remodeling of, or additions to, existing homes; and the erection of any structure on residents’ premises. This Committee reviews plans for construction as well as the placement of amenities on residents’ property (e.g., basketball goals and satellite dishes) to ensure that these conform to accepted standards.
