Prestbury started its Neighborhood Watch program in 2004. Today membership exceeds 580 Prestbury households. We are grateful for the active participation of our members in building and contributing to our spirit of community here in Prestbury.
All residents of Prestbury are welcomed and encouraged to join the Neighborhood Watch program. Not only it is a great way to make sure that you know what is going on in our area in terms of safety and security, but it is a wonderful avenue to meet and learn who your neighbors are and to stay in touch.
Our program divides Prestbury's area into "blocks" with a block captain overseeing his/her area. Over 80 block captains contribute information to a group of 12 program coordinators. Two program directors work directly with the Prestbury Board of Directors as well as local community policing authorities including the Kane County Sheriff's Dept. and the Village of Sugar Grove Police Dept. We also coordinate our efforts with the Kane County Forest Preserve Police and are in contact with neighboring subdivisions including Windstone, Strafford Woods, Walnut Woods, and Hannaford Farms. The communication circle brings all of our communities closer together.
The Prestbury Neighborhood Watch program can be reached by calling Nicki Leroy, Prestbury's onsite property manager, or by e-mailing the program directors at nwatch@prestbury.org
