Prestbury Fishing Club A meeting of the Prestbury fishing club was held on 7 Feb 2005. In attendance were George Hauser, Marv Doty, Steve Keierleber, and Tom Dornback The purpose of this meeting was to bring out ideas of what activities and programs the PFC might participate in during the year 2005. Tom Dornback gave a treasurers report. This was followed by a discussion about whether to add minnows and small bluegills as bait for the bass or to wait until ice-out to see if there is any fish-kill this year. It was decided to wait until the next meeting to decide this issue. The deadline for ordering new fish or minnows is March 28. Steve Keierleber gave a report on the shoreline restoration as he currently understands it. He said this work should begin in late April or early May. Tom Dornback raised the question of the club renewing its support for an underwater aerator in the center of Lake Prestbury. The club will consider this at future meetings and discuss with PCA. Steve Keierleber discussed ideas of screening to avoid small bass and game fish from leaving Lake Prestbury and going downstream. The club will discuss this idea further at the next meeting and review with the PCA. Tom Dornback suggested that the PFC continue to support the childrens fishing day if it is continued by PCA. The next meeting is scheduled for 7pm, March 21 at 21 East Windsor in Turtle Cove. Any Prestbury resident interested in joining the PFC is welcome to attend the meeting or call George Hauser, Marv Doty, Steve Keierleber, or Tom Dornback.
